Every year when my birthday rolls around I get a little reflective.
Not in a deep, dramatic way. More in a “how did another year fly by that fast?” kind of way.
This year felt like a good excuse to slow down for a second, get dressed up, take some photos, and actually celebrate the moment instead of letting the day pass by like any other.
And honestly… I’m really glad I did.
There’s something fun about having photos from a specific point in time. A little snapshot of who you are in that season of life. What you looked like, how you felt, what your energy was like.
I think we forget to do that for ourselves sometimes.
We document vacations, weddings, babies, milestones… but not always just ourselves.
So this year I leaned into it.
Cute outfit. Good lighting. A little confidence boost. And photos that feel very “me” right now.
No huge reason.
Just because it’s my birthday.
Another year older, another year wiser (hopefully), and another year doing things that make life feel fun.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that moments go by really fast. Way faster than you expect them to.
So if you feel like celebrating something, documenting something, or just doing something that makes you feel good…
do it.
